Drawings on Pebbles / Crteži na kamenju

We've been collecting pebbles at the beach for days now. At home we play with them and observe their beauty. They are all so simmilar, yet, as leaves on trees - there are no two pebbles that are the same. The differences are tiny, but they appear in color, shape and size. V loves when I ask him what does a pebble remind him of.
We also collected some flat stones which we used to make some fish drawings on them. And so he got a beautiful toy to play with! He plays with it for days now, talks with the stone-fish, feeds them with some leaves from the garden, puts them in a bowl with water, counts them, sings to them, etc. Every time I see him playing at the terrace - diving into the play so deep and enjoying it totally, without the need to be entertained by anyone, and every time I hear his tiny little voice changing in the attempt to imitate different characters of his play, when I see that he doesn't see or notice anything and anyone out of his play, completly soaked in by it, and that he can stay there for very very long time as if in a dream, I feel happy and calm and fullfilled completly, because I know that he is capable of doing the most important task in his life and that is to - play!

I njegova mašta potom putuje...

Just lovely. We have painted pebbles, but not drawn on them before. Your photos are gorgeous.

Hello! Lovely pebble drawings! We love this activity. And actually do it on the beach (I always carry pens in my bag!) We made a whole Kingdom a while back - a palace household, with accoutrements. I wrote about it on my blog here - thought you might like to see. Not nearly a sunny a day as your photos show!

My girls love painting and writing on rocks. SO fun. Just something about art and a natural canvas that is so appealing.
Thanks for joining the outdoor play link up!
